Job Opportunity – Pulmonary Critical Care Physician – Colorado

Start Date: January 2027 through April 2027

Location: Colorado

Compensation: Tiered hourly and callback structure – details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a), rotating between multiple hospital locations. In-house daytime coverage with rounding; night coverage includes in-house or offsite pager call depending on location. Coverage capped at 7 consecutive days with rotation to allow for lighter days between shifts. Weekend and holiday coverage required.

Highlights:

• Work across Level I, II, and III trauma centers providing comprehensive critical care and pulmonology services
• Collaborate with a team of approximately 20 pulmonologists and 10 mid-level providers
• Perform advanced pulmonary and critical care procedures including bronchoscopy, ventilation management, chest tube and central line insertion, and thoracentesis
• EPIC EMR system with onsite lab and x-ray resources
• Locums assigned to one location per shift; approximately 30 total shifts per month needed across all locum providers
• Travel expenses reimbursed including flights, lodging, car rental, and mileage

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Pulmonary Critical Care
• Active Colorado medical license or active IMLC (letter of qualification in hand at time of name clearance)
• Recent Level I trauma experience within the last 24 months (required)
• Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA certification
• Proficiency in all required pulmonary and critical care procedures including ventilation management, bronchoscopy, central line placement, and thoracentesis
• EPIC EMR experience preferred; virtual training required prior to start date (Tuesdays or Fridays at 8am MT)
• Clean malpractice history and background; current NPDB self-query required at submission
• Credentialing timeframe of 90-120 days across multiple facilities
